Realme X50 Pro

Realme X50 Pro was released on 5th March 2020. It is the successor of Realme x50 and upgraded with a capable camera, flagship chipset, and better performance. You get a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution 1080×2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~409 ppi density). This smartphone runs Android 10 with Realme UI 1.0 and is powered by Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) and Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 585).

It packs a Quad rear camera set up 64MP+12MP+8MP+2MP and dual selfie camera set up 32MP+8MP for a pleasant photo session. It is fuelled by Li-Po 4200 mAh, non-removable battery fast charging 65W with, gets to 100% in 35 minutes. You get 8GB RAM and 128GM ROM for internal memory. It is available in Moss Green, Rust Red.

DESIGN

This smartphone is one of those that has a simple but pleasing design. It measures 159 x 74.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 205g. It has a seamless design from the glass back to the aluminum frame. It has a matte finish on the back which makes the entire phone nicer to hold. It feels like metal when cold therefore making it secure on the hand. There are thin bezels on the front all around.

On the left side are two power buttons that have a positive click upon pressing. On the right side, you get a power button which is well placed for you to easily reach it. It is slightly bigger for convenience. At the top, you get a secondary microphone. At the bottom, there are a speaker grille, a USB Type C for charging, a microphone, and a 3 in 1 tray that houses dual 4G/LTE Nano sim cards and a microSD for memory expansion.

You get a 6.44-inch screen display that has a hole punch on the display that houses the selfie camera for photos, face recognition, and video calls.

SECURITY

This smartphone has an under-display fingerprint scanner that is very much reliable and very speedy response. With only one-touch access is readily granted.

To boost the fingerprint scanner, there is a face recognition feature that is able to register your face via the selfie camera and grants you access with just one glance.

SOUND

It is equipped with a stereo speaker set up. There is a single downward-firing speaker at the bottom which has a very good score in terms of loudness (-23.2 LUFS) and even better in terms of quality. Both bass and treble are loud and clear.

DISPLAY

You get a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution 1080×2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~409 ppi density) which is an upgrade from its predecessor Realme X5O which has an IPS LCD display.

Super AMOLED has so many advantages which include less power consumption, flexibility and lightness, high contrast ratio, brighter and more vivid images, better viewing angles, and better response time. Just like Redmi A30 and Poco X2 it has a 90Hz refresh rate that supports HDR10+. You are guaranteed with better smoother action.

Your eyes are protected from straining, gamers can enjoy graphic-intensive games, and accessing online tasks will be much easier with this phone.  Enjoy replying to your messages and browsing the net with ease. Gesture navigation has also been implemented on this phone for your convenience.

The screen has good brightness 635nits on auto mode and 525nits on manual therefore it is used outdoors.

it is able to produce photos with plenty of details, accurate colors, excellent and wide dynamic range. Portraits have good subject detection and convincing background blur. Daylight shots are exemplary. Lowlight shots are also outstanding with great color saturation and contrast ratio.

Nightscape boosts shadows and improves highlights. Color saturation gets better with no loss of detail with less noise.

For videos, details are on point, color saturation and contrast is excellent. Video stability is on another level.

BATTERY

It is fuelled by Li-Po 4200 mAh, a non-removable battery similar to Oppo Find X2 to keep you connected to your friends all day. It has an endurance rating of up to 90 hours which is higher than that of Oppo X2 which has a 4200mAh battery but with an endurance rating of 80hours. This battery saves you time since it is fast charging 65W with, gets to 100% in 35 minutes. You no longer have to move with your charger everywhere you go. The phone does not overheat even with heavy gaming. The smartphone has some power-saving modes that moderate performance and battery life.
